The exhibition arrives in Turin to illustrate the "Byzantine millennium" with the main exhibition corpus integrated by a section dedicated to the relationship with the Piedmont area. A precious and highly evocative exhibition opens at the Venaria Reale: In the shadow of Leonardo. Tapestries and ceremonies at the court of the popes. After a long restoration, the peota dei Savoia, the royal boat of Carlo Vittorio Emanuele III, is brought back to the public, the last original eighteenth-century boat existing in the world after the destruction of the Bucintoro in Venice by sacrilegious French hands with the Napoleonic conquest.
Alongside the splendid boat are also the sumptuous gala carriages used by the Savoy between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
